These ordering terms apply to all purchases made through zonda.co.nz. By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to them.
Ordering Terms
1. Who we are
Zonda Beneficials is a trading name of Gourmet Waiuku Limited, a New Zealand registered company.
In these terms:
- “Zonda”, “we”, “us” means Gourmet Waiuku Limited trading as Zonda Beneficials.
- “You” means a person visiting or ordering through zonda.co.nz.
- “Website” means zonda.co.nz.
- “Goods” means the products available for purchase through the website.
You can contact us at:
Zonda Beneficials
79 Taurangaruru Road, Waiuku, Auckland
Phone: 0800 496 632
Email: sales@zonda.co.nz
2. Pricing and payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST at the current rate. The GST component will be shown on your order at checkout.
Payment is required in full before goods are dispatched. We accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) — processed through our secure payment gateway. We do not store credit card information on our servers; card data is held by our PCI-compliant payment provider.
- Other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
You will receive an email confirmation once your payment has been received, along with a tax invoice for your records.
The transaction will appear on your card statement as Zonda or Zonda Beneficials.
3. Orders and availability
All goods listed on the website are subject to availability. While every effort is made to keep stock current, we cannot always guarantee supply, particularly for live products that depend on production cycles.
If we are unable to supply ordered goods for any reason, we will notify you as soon as practical and offer either a full refund or the option to wait for stock to become available.
We reserve the right to accept or refuse orders for any reason.
4. Delivery
We deliver to addresses within New Zealand only.
Dispatch timing
Orders placed and paid for before 12.00pm on a working day are normally dispatched the following working day. Orders placed after 12.00pm, on weekends, or on public holidays will be dispatched the next available working day.
For live products (bumblebee hives), we generally avoid dispatching on Fridays or before public holidays to prevent the colony spending extra days in transit.
Delivery timeframes
Delivery is by overnight courier across New Zealand. Estimated delivery times from dispatch:
| Region | Urban | Rural Delivery (RD) |
|---|---|---|
| Auckland | Next working day | 1–2 working days |
| North Island (rest) | Next working day | 1–2 working days |
| South Island | 1–2 working days | 2–3 working days |
Times shown are estimates only. We use independent courier providers (including NZ Post) and cannot guarantee specific delivery times. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of any known delays.
Failed deliveries
We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by:
- Incorrect or incomplete address details supplied at checkout
- Courier circumstances outside our reasonable control
If a delivery fails due to address errors and the parcel is returned to us, you may be charged a redelivery fee.
Risk
Risk in the goods passes to you once they are in the possession of the carrier engaged to deliver them.
5. Live product guarantee
This section applies to live bumblebee hives.
All Zonda bumblebee hives are guaranteed for a minimum of four (4) working weeks from delivery.
If your hive fails to perform during this period — including the queen dying prematurely, the colony failing to establish, or major workforce collapse not caused by external factors (chemical exposure, mishandling, exposure to weather extremes) — please contact us immediately on 0800 496 632 or sales@zonda.co.nz.
We will assess the situation with you and, at our discretion, will repair, replace, or refund the affected hive. Replacement is normally our preferred remedy.
To make a claim under this guarantee:
- Notify us within 48 hours of identifying the problem
- Keep the hive in place where possible and do not move or open it further until we have spoken
- Provide photographs of the hive and surroundings if requested
This guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 — see section 9.
6. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Live products (bumblebee hives, beneficial insects)
Because live products begin to age the moment they leave our facility, faults must be reported to Zonda as soon as practical and at the latest within 48 hours of delivery. After that window, we may not be able to determine whether the issue was present at dispatch.
We cannot accept returns of live products that have been opened, deployed, or otherwise used unless covered by the live product guarantee (section 5) or under a Consumer Guarantees Act claim (section 9).
Non-live products (sticky traps, books, monitoring equipment, accessories)
If you wish to return a non-live product:
- Contact us within 28 days of dispatch to arrange a return
- Items must be returned in original packaging, unused and undamaged
- You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item was delivered in error, damaged in transit, or is faulty
Where a return is approved, the refund (excluding original freight cost) will be processed to your nominated bank account or card within 3 working days of receipt of the returned item.
Cancellations
Due to the perishable nature of live products, cancellations of confirmed orders may not be possible once production has been scheduled. If you change your mind, contact us as soon as possible — we will do our best to accommodate amendments but cannot guarantee them. As a general rule, amendments may be possible up until 12.00pm on the day of dispatch.
7. Faulty or damaged goods
If goods arrive damaged or faulty:
- Notify us immediately (within 48 hours for live products, within 7 days for other goods)
- Keep all packaging
- Provide photographs of the damage where possible
We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986:
- Zonda’s liability for any loss or damage arising from goods supplied is limited to the price paid for the goods that are the subject of the claim
- Zonda is not liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental or punitive damages, including loss of crop, loss of profit, or business interruption
- Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law
9. Consumer rights
Where you are a consumer acquiring goods for personal, domestic, or household use, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 apply and cannot be contracted out of.
This includes the right to expect that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for their intended purpose, and match the description provided.
If you are acquiring goods for business purposes, sections 43 and 43A of the Consumer Guarantees Act may permit us to contract out of certain provisions, and the limitations in section 8 of these terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.

Trade Account Holders — Additional Terms
The terms above apply to all customers. The following additional terms apply to customers who hold a trade account with Zonda Beneficials, including customers making “On Account” purchases through the website.
A0. Applying for a trade account
To apply for a trade account, download and complete the Trade Account Application Form, then return it to Zonda Beneficials by email to sales@zonda.co.nz.
The application asks for:
- Business name and legal entity type (Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited Liability Company, Trust, or other)
- Trading address, contact people and account contact
- Owner and director details
- Accountant and bank details
- Three trade references
- Type of business and growing operation details (greenhouse sizes, crops grown, properties)
The application includes a Personal Guarantee signed by the business owner(s) or director(s), under which the guarantor(s) personally undertake to pay any amount the trade account does not. Joint and several liability applies where there is more than one guarantor. Please read this section carefully before signing — it creates personal financial liability separate from the limited liability of the business.
The trade account application has no effect until accepted by Zonda Beneficials in writing. Acceptance does not guarantee that goods will be supplied — supply remains subject to the main Ordering Terms and to stock availability.
A1. Payment terms
Payment is due in full by the 20th of the month following the month of purchase.
Overdue accounts will incur a late payment fee of 2.5% per month (or part thereof) on any outstanding amount. Trade account customers also agree to indemnify Zonda against any costs or losses incurred in recovering overdue amounts, including legal and collection fees.
Zonda reserves the right to suspend or close a trade account where payment terms are not met.
A2. Delivery and damage notification
Trade account customers must notify Zonda of any non-delivery, damage or other delivery issues by 4.00pm on the expected delivery day. Claims received after this time may not be accepted.
Trade account customers are responsible for keeping Zonda informed of any changes to delivery addresses, contacts and account details. No claim will be accepted where such changes have not been communicated.
A3. Goods
Replacement or partial replacement of goods will only be considered where issues are reported to Zonda staff within 24 hours of delivery to the customer.
A4. Scheduled orders
Trade account customers on a scheduled delivery programme must notify Zonda at least 24 hours before the scheduled dispatch date if goods are no longer required. Customers should check packing slips supplied with previous deliveries for the next scheduled dispatch date.
Goods dispatched in the absence of cancellation notice will be charged to the account.
A5. General
All other terms in the main Ordering Terms above apply to trade account customers, except where specifically modified in this section.
These terms last updated on 15 May 2026.
